  18. I have just received and read notification of the new AppleLink pricing
  19. structure.  All in all, it looks reasonable — with one exception.
  20.  
  21. My main use of AppleLink is via my subscription to MacApp.Tech$.  All of the
  22. discussion on MacApp.Tech$ is of great importance to Apple; it is the primary
  23. vehicle of feedback from developers to the MacApp team on the quality of MacApp
  24. — a product of ever-increasing importance to Apple.

  26. Charging AppleLink customers for those KC's exchanged via MacApp.Tech$ would be
  27. strangling Apple's golden goose of MacApp feedback.  Without the constant
  28. feedback from developers that MacApp.Tech$ has provided, MacApp's progress
  29. would have been significantly different — and significantly less focused on the
  30. needs of the developer.

  32. Apple should not stem this flow of valuable information by charging developers
  33. for supplying it.  Therefore, I suggest that AppleLink users not be charged for
  34. those KC's transmitted via MacApp.Tech$.
